Hampton University Environmental Journalism Scholarship 2025

Hampton University in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund has created the Hampton University Environmental Journalism Scholarship to support the generation of environmental journalists. Under this scholarship, financial funds will be provided to the student to continue their education and generalism and communication. With the help of this scholarship, the student will be able to tackle the environmental challenges of today’s generation. Objective of Hampton University Environmental Journalism Scholarship

Hampton University Environmental Journalism Scholarship was launched by a partnership between Hampton University and World Wildlife fund. The main purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarship opportunities to junior or senior students at Hampton University in order to continue their education in the School of Journalism and Communication. Under the scholarship, $10,000 will be provided to the student to continue their work experience. With the help of this scholarship, students will be able to pursue their academic and professional goals without bringing about any financial strain. This scholarship will help nurture the next generation of environmental journalism

Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must be interested in nurturing the next generation of environmental journalism.
The candidate must be a rising sophomore through senior in the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communication.

Selection Process

The selection of the candidate depends upon the academic achievements.
Candidates must submit writing samples and have an interest in environmental journalism.
The candidate must submit the application form before the last date to get the selection.

Application Process

Step 1: First of all, applicants must download the application form.
Step 2: the candidate needs to complete the scholarship application form and save it as a PDF with your full name scholarship form- Fall 2024.
Step 3: After that, the applicant needs to write a 250-word statement of interest along with the application form.
Step 4: writing samples must showcase your interest and support to environmental conservation or climate issues.
Step 5: After that applicant, must submit this application form along with the sample to shsjc@hamptonu.edu before 2nd December 2024.
