Objective of CAS ANSO Degree Scholarship
The primary objective of the CAS ANSO Degree scholarship is to provide financial assistance to international students all over the world. This special fellowship serves especially to support scientific development in underdeveloped countries, especially in Southeast Asia. Up to fifty scholars or students from these nations will be eligible to apply for the PhD and master’s fellowship. Doctoral programs in China are covered by this fully financed scholarship, and they can last up to four years. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should not be citizens of China.
- Candidates should be fluent in either Chinese or English.
- Candidates for the Master’s program must have been born after January 1, 1995.
- Candidates for the PhD program must have been born after January 1, 1990.
- All applicants must fulfill the requirements for USTC/UCAS foreign student admission.
- During the scholarship time, applicants cannot take on any other responsibilities.
- Applicants for this master’s scholarship program cannot be enrolled in a master’s program at any Chinese university.
- Applicants for this PhD fellowship program cannot be students enrolled in doctorate programs at any Chinese university.
- Each and every recipient must finish the centralized instruction in Chinese language and culture as well as the necessary credits.
- All recipients must finish the practical research and a degree thesis at CAS institutions or USTC/UCAS colleges and schools.
- Applicants may submit an application for a UCAS or USTC scholarship.

- Two letters of recommendation from professors with their contact numbers and email address.

- Photocopy of HSK certificate or other evidence of Chinese language proficiency. (For Chinese programs)
- Photocopy of valid IELTS or TOEFL result or other evidence of English proficiency if mother tongue is not English. (For English programs)
- Photocopy of degree certificate.
- If a degree is not obtained yet, submit a pre-graduation certificate with the degree completion date on it.
- Photocopy of academic transcripts for both Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree.
- Official documents to show your student status.
- Employed applicants should provide official documents about their posts.
Financial Benefits for Master Program
- The entire cost of tuition will be covered.
- For a maximum of 36 months, a stipend of 3,000 CNY a month will be provided.
- There will be health insurance provided.
- The application fee will not be charged.
- There will be a refund or allowance for international travel.
- There will be a stipend for lodging.
- A one-time visa or residency permit will be included.
Financial Benefits for PhD Program
- The entire cost of tuition will be covered.
- After completing the university’s qualifying exam, a stipend of 6,000 or 7,000 CNY each month for a maximum of 48 months will be provided.
- There will be health insurance provided.
- The application fee will not be charged.
- There will be a refund or allowance for international travel.
- There will be a stipend for lodging.
- A one-time visa or residency permit will be included.
